The Land Rover Defender Service Awards is a national competition that recognizes nonprofits doing meaningful work in their communities. We were selected as a 2026 Honoree in the animal welfare category, competing against 15 other organizations from across the country. The winner is decided entirely by public vote, and the top prize is a custom Defender 130 and $30,000 in funding. For us, that vehicle means faster disaster response, more animals moved to safety, and the ability to reach communities we can't always get to right now. Every vote you cast brings that closer.
HIT (HONESTY, INTEGRITY, TRUST) Living DOG RESCUE is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue dedicated to saving abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs both domestically and internationally.
Founded in 2018, we have rescued over 5,000 animals between disaster relief, and rehabilitation and rehoming efforts between California, mexico & the bahamas.
